Welcome to the Delta Theta Chapter of AOII
A Letter From Our President
Welcome to the Delta Theta Chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi located at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas! As a sorority based on the ideals of love among its members, our sisters have been dedicated to living out our sisterhood the best we can according to the high principles our four founders set forth back in 1897- 118 years ago this year (2015)! We are proud to have been servicing the Denton community since we were installed at TWU in 1984! Alpha Omicron Pi is an international women’s fraternity with chapters all across the United States and Canada that each stand for and strive to achieve academic excellence, developing leadership skills, and taking part in our community around us all while creating friendships that will last us a lifetime!
The women of the Delta Theta Chapter take pride in doing their part on campus by being involved in outside organizations and furthering their education. All of our sisters balance a full academic schedule, work schedule, as well as the responsibilities that come with being a member of AOII. For the past two years, we have had the highest GPA on campus out of all of the Greek Organizations and we are honored in carrying on that title! As a chapter, we encourage leadership and sisterhood and take great pride in our members that put their time and effort into making our fraternity grow and exceed the expectation!
As a Chapter, we hold many different events that include socials, sisterhoods, and philanthropy events. Our women strive to support our national philanthropy, which is the Arthritis Foundation, as much as possible by holding many events throughout the year with our main event being Strike Out Arthritis, which is held every March. Since beginning our mission to fight Arthritis back in 1967, AOII’s across the United States and Canada have donated over 2 million dollars to Arthritis Research and we are pleased to continue this fight!
As the President of such a prestigious organization, I am honored to represent such amazing women and be a part of such an incredible fraternity! I joined Alpha Omicron Pi in Fall of 2013 and have loved every minute and every second of getting to know these wonderful women. Aside from all the superb things we do for our community, each and every sister has helped each other in so many different ways- from being there when you truly need a friend, or being there for that big interview or big day, or even just being there to watch a romantic comedy and make fun of all the cliché things that happen in it! I wouldn’t trade any of my sisters for the world and I love each and every one of them beyond comparison! We are all unique in our own way and that is exactly what makes us such an astounding organization! As sisters, we all found our perfect home away from home and we hope you find yours, as well!
With Alpha Love,
