Welcome to the Delta Theta Chapter of AOII
A Letter From Our President
Welcome to the Delta Theta chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi at Texas Woman’s University. Founded in 1897 at Barnard College, a group of four fantastic women set out to show the world how strong they could be through a sisterhood unlike any other. That was 119 years ago, and we find ourselves today stronger than ever. Installed on this campus in 1984 we have proven our high standards to the academic world as well as the community at large.
As you all know, college life can be a bit hectic. Our members excel in balancing schoolwork, a part-time job, and the responsibilities of our membership proving that anyone can do it with a little support. With that said, we have maintained in the top three spots for GPA in campus organizations and are proud of the academic excellence we have accomplished. But we do not stop there. The women of Delta Theta are required to be in another organization on campus, complete volunteer work each month, and so much more that we are creating leaders for the future and making sure that your prepared to step out into the world after graduation day.
We have quite the calendar throughout the year that involves socials, mixers, formals, philanthropic events, and sisterhoods. We support the Arthritis Foundation as our philanthropy, and as a national organization have raised over 2 million dollars to help find a cure.
I have the privilege of representing this chapter as Chapter President. At this time I would like to let you in on the blessing AOII has been in my life. In August of 2015 my mother passed away. Every step of the way my chapter helped me through it. I will never forget the video sent the day of the memorial to the letters under my dorm door. They supported me, helped me, and above all loved me in a time that I needed it most. As a student, you might be looking into recruitment to find a home away from home, a best friend, a study buddy or even a potential bridesmaid. All that I’m asking is that you let my sisters show you the unconditional love and support they have shown me.
We are all unique and together make a beautiful bouquet of roses. We would love to help you bloom and grow to your fullest potential through an organization built on love.
Hope to see you soon,
